Jump Rope Baby

February 24th, 2009

This video is really cute and just goes to show that jump rope truly is a sport for all ages. This was graciously sent to us by Carolyn Schulz. It is a video of her daughter, Anna, and her jump rope journey thus far. Carolyn joined a jump rope team in BC, Canada back in 1993 and has been involved with the team ever since by coaching & competing. She even competed in four tournaments while she was pregnant with her daughter. Get ‘em while they’re young! Now her daughter is clearly picking up her mother’s love for the sport.

Thanks for sharing Carolyn!! By the way… that is one adorable kiddo!!

Nick and Jeff show some “really good jumping”

February 8th, 2009

Here’s a video from Jeff Mauss and Nick Woodard showing you some “really good jumping.” That’s a bit of an understatement if you ask me. These guys have consistently elevated the sport to a new level over the years. Along with fellow Razz-Ma-Tazz team member Katrina Bartkowiak, they performed what is still one of the best and most difficult double dutch routines ever seen at Nationals. This video shows Nick and Jeff along with several other jumpers continuing to push the envelope. Jump Rope will never be the same again.

Robbie Csontos - Freestyle Master

September 17th, 2008

Here is another video from the 2008 World Championships. This is Robbie Csontos from the Heartbeats doing his freestyle for the Masters competition. Robbie placed 2nd in Freestyle and ranked 7th overall. This is nothing short of an amazing routine. This is a ridiculously difficult routine that is perfectly executed. The whole routine just looks smooth and flows from one trick to the next. Robbie seems to have a knack for making the insanely difficult look surprisingly easy. Those of us that struggle through these tricks are very jealous…

Worlds Double Dutch Routine

August 30th, 2008

The videos are starting to pour in from the World Championships in South Africa. The results from the tournament are available on the IRSF homepage. Here is a video sent to me by Zev Troxler from Worlds. This video is of Mathew, Garrot, and Collin from Hot Dog USA. This routine blew me away. It’s what I call a very “dense” routine. It has a ton of tricks and turner involvement all back to back. There are no wasted jumps in this routine. There were also several original tricks that were just fantastic to see. Great job guys!
